That's great, but it does not in any way refute my observation. Since you're an engineer you surely know about atypical samples. Now, if you carefully observe the next 100 or so pinky rings you see on males, and estimate the heights of those wearing them, and find that the preponderance of those observed are indeed above average height, then you will have my attention.
