Yep, although perhaps not to your total satisfaction.

My own ethnicity is English-Scots-German.  By and large not a group where males wear lots of diamonds, or for that matter, even a large amount of jewelry.

Other groups, and I specify the plural, not "group", do seem to me from observation, to be more comfortable with it.
