[Rollei] Tough Lesson

In the beginning of the movie the Icpress Files, a Dr. Radcliffe is
escorted from a cab to a train.
When the escort returns to the cab he finds that Dr. Radcliffe has
forgotten his Rollei and runs back to the train to return it. However it
is too late as it seems the price for forgetfuness is tragic and fatal. In
the next scene we see Dr. Radcliffe dead and lying on a pile of luggage.

While I understand forgetting your Rollei in a cab can be a foolish thing,
don't you think death is a bit severe?
