Todd, I understand that. However the shutter stays open, even after I
remove my finger from the shutter button. I think my shutter is broken
(even after i had 2 recent CLA's.)

All those settings that are in the green part of the shutter speeds are
B settings. They are only recommendations of how long you should
manually hold open the shutter.
