Jerry, The stuff I uses is grey, rubbery with a
textured surface. I suppose you could call it abrasive.
I've used it with Leicas, Rollei, Canon, Nikon, Speed
Graphic, Olympus digital... Never had a problem with
scarring the bottom of the camera.
