You just beat me to saying this Peter! Absolutely! A 6cm CCD would be
rather wonderful! (along with matrix metering of course). So all we want
is a 2.8 GX, constructed as well as a 1960's 2.8F, with a digital back which
runs happily for 24hrs on one battery charge, and at a price that 'normal'
photographers could afford.
