Hi Dennis,

      My vote for the original Tiltall as well.   Be aware that not only the
quality has been lost in the current Tiltalls, but  some of the fittings
have been changed.  I know this because I had a jammed foot/spike.
I ordered a replacement foot, and the threads are different.  One of
the Tiltall's featurees is the removable centerpost.  The centerpost
can sometimes be used by itself as a short monopod.  The Titlall
has enough length for most situations.  Some of the lighter tripods
do not extend enough.
