The selenium meters are quite accurate, but I can't dispute the GX metering
system is far, far better.

Having owned both a GX and a number of 2.8Fs, I would disagree that the GX
is "not so well constructed".  It in fact is very well constructed.  It
doesn't operate as smoothly, but that has nothing to do with how well
constructed it is.
