Nick,
I have used the original 2.8 Tessar in the Z-I Ikoflex III (853/16) of
1939. This is one of the cameras for which the lens was originally
built. The one I have is uncoated. It is a very nice lens which performs
exactly as I would expect. That is to say little soft at the edges at full
aperture but centrally very sharp and nice and uniformly sharp when stopped
down. Very nice bokeh, for what that is worth.
