Re: [Rollei] TLR microscope attachment

I purchased one of these little creatures from B&H in Bay II mount. The manual for it states that you would focus the camera at infinity, and focus the microscope until it is in focus for your eye. The result is a round image in the middle of the square negative. I have illustrations of the setup and a sample picture in one of my Rollei books, but they are not with me at the moment.

Also, the attachment fits over both the taking and viewing lenses, so you could assure focus with the viewing lens before taking the picture.

I never did get to use the adapter because it didn't fit any of the objectives on any of the microscopes here here, German or otherwise.

Subject: [Rollei] TLR microscope attachment

Hi,
I've seen online some microscope objective attachments for Rollei's TLRs. I
am interested giving one a try but sometyhing puzzles me. How do we focus on
the subject with a microscope objective attached to the lower lens? Do we
have to set the subject in the focal point of the objective prior to mount
it on the TLR?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers,
