Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has tried something like
this: Put in an adapter for the European 3/8 thread so
it will take the standard 1/4-20 tripod thread. Then,
using round or even hex stock (steel, aluminum, or
brass), face one end, drill and tap for 1/4-20 hole
for tripod screw. Next, turn an outside diameter (OD)
to match the circular part on the bottom of the
Rolleiflex. Next, turn and thread a short portion of
the other end to 1/4-20. Would that give a secure
tripod hold without damaging the bottom of the
Rolleiflex? Or am I going to have to keep searching
for a Rolleifix in decent user condition? Your input
would be appreciated.
Thank you
Dave (Rolleiflex 3.5F)
