Ammonia will not harm the glass or coatings. I prefer 100% ALCOHOL. Often
I use methanol and wipe the glass as clean as possible with it. Works great
for removing old residue and does not harm the coatings. Windex will work
too but you may have to use it a few times to get rid of the fungus if its
heavy.
