Joe,
Trying my mint Rolleicord Vb, which was serviced last year by Marflex, the
shutter cocking lever has a good bit of spring tension to it, but it is
smooth throughout it's stroke and shouldn't feel at all difficult to move.
There is a very slight amount of play, which feels like a softer spring, at
the beginning of the stroke, just before the heavy spring is engaged. Once
the shutter is cocked, there is a small amount of play, but that is to be
expected and feels normal. Also, there should be no play on the shutter
release button. There is a soft spring on this as well which, when depressed,
increases in tension just prior to the point of tripping the shutter. BTW
Marflex does a great job. Hope this helps.
