  On E series Rolleis the aperture-dial hub provides the locking mechanism,
acting as sort of a key. If the indicator marks on the hub align with the
marks on the dial the EV system is locked together. To release it, and
leave it released, just push in on the hub slightly and turn it so that the
marks aren't aligned.
