Re: [Rollei] sunshade for baby 4x4

You're out of luck there.

The shade for the 4x4 is different in that the the outside diameter of
the side which mounts on the lens is slightly larger than that of the
6x6 Bay 1 shade. The 4x4 shade has a section "cut out," about 1/5th of
the circumference, to allow for the fact that the 4x4 taking lens and
viewing lenses are so close to each other.

The 4x4 shade will fit onto the 6x6 Bay 1 mount but at a 45% angle.
Both shades use the outside bayonet mount but they are not
interchangeable.

In addition and not very important, the "square" side of the 4x4 shade
is about 1/8th inch smaller.

I don't have any Rolleinars but would guess that even if they fit the
4x4, that the viewing lens "prism" will present a different view when
used on the 4x4 than it will on a 6x6.

As you may have already discovered, the lenscap on the 6x6 isn't
interchangeable with that of the 6x6 Bay 1 lenscap, as the 4x4 lenses
are closer together.
