Then buy an "E" without a meter.  That's actually how many came...the 
meter was an option.

That's what I did; having not had good luck with Rollei electronics 
in my experience (except for the 35S I got from Harry Fleenor, that 
one's meter actually works!), I passed up several with meters.

As for the rest of the thread, I prefer the 2.8 lenses to the 3.5's. 
The results look pretty much the same to my eye, and the extra speed 
means that I can frequently avoid flash, which is my preference.  And 
I see no difference between the Zeiss and Schneider lenses.

That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to get a 3.5 if I found one at a 
fair price.
