[Rollei] 2.8C or D?

Good day Gurus,

I'm looking for an "upscale"companion for my MX-EVS. Well, a local camera
shop has a pristine 2.8C for sale and my brief handling of this beauty has
convinced me that I "gotta have one." This particular camera seems
overpriced, however ($950), so I thought I'd shop around a bit. This leads
me to a couple of questions.

What are the differences between a 2.8C and 2.8D (I want an unmetered
Rollei)?  Also, other than the maximum aperture available, is a 3.5 Planar
the optical equivalent of a 2.8?
