A confusion in my words, maybe, but not in my mind. I meant the
thirteenth exposure on the roll. With both conversions, the camera's
exposure counter counts from 1 to 12 twice.
The advantage of the 12/24 switch over the simpler conversion is (a) you
can look at the switch and see whether you are on the first 12 or the
second 12, and (b) because the wind locks after the first 12, it doesn't
allow you to accidentally wind through part or all of the second half of
the roll.
