In "Rollei 75 Years" (1994), Prochnow says that "By a clever strategic move, Norbert Platt, managing director of Fototechnic, succeded in saving the tools for the Rolleiflex 2.8 F (...) from being scrapped" (p. 154). This led to two very limited
series of 2.8 F's being produced by the new Rollei Fototechnic in 1984.

Three pages later, he states that the automat mechanism was not implemented on the GX partly because  "film makers used ever thinner backing paper and adhesive tape so that problems were encountered with one make or another."

I don't have the Rollei Reports that pertain to the TLR's, do these give a different version of the same events?
