You are raising yet another interesting aspect of media, Richard, namely
that in a time of shrinking "chat show" budgets (in which travel allowances
have been all but eliminated), it is now the book publishers who are
"programming' many/most of these shows now simply by spending the money to
put their authors on tour and make them available... they are booked by
default!

What a world we live in...
