I have never seen a Beta 5F.  I have a Beta 6 and used to use it with
my SL2000F.  You need the right angle adapter to easily use them.  Perhaps
this Beta F has this built in.  These flash units are automatic, but not
TTL, and work on just about any camera with a hot shoe.
