I want to thank the folks who have taken the time and bother to write back.
I now have a modest sample of 25 responses.
Of these, the most commonly answered question was "What was/is your
favourite Rollei?" (all 25 answered), followed by "Which you use most often"
(17). 6 folks posted a preference between 3.5 vs 2.8F (even split in
preference). and 5 "what the next camera you will use".
As promised, I have tabulated the results. I have also decided to drop the
last question since it has the fewest respondents and is also the least
interesting/useful in capturing the patter of use and preferences that I am
feebly attempting here.
As a commentary, I am really surprised at the spread of Favourite Rolleis.
Almost all of these (according to you) are TLRs (perhaps because of the
universe that I am polling). There was only 1 SLR mentioned here. The 3.5F
is tops, but only just by a whisker. Personally, I am a little surprised
that the T is doing so well. I cannot think that given the spread, that
there is any clear statistical significance can be established here.
It is of interest that not all the favourite cameras are your most often
used, although, in the majority, this was the case.
As many of you were very enthused by this poll and added many insights and
augmented your reasons, I sometimes had some difficulty thinking through
your answers and some of these were not entirely clear to me. In those
cases, I have tried my best to read between the lines and in those few where
the answers were truly too convoluted for me to suss out what the intended
answer was, I precluded these. I am of course open to requests for manual
recounts ... :-))

- - Over the period of time that you have had Rolleis, what was your favourite
camera? And why?
- Is this also the camera that you use the most?
- - Between the 3.5Fs and 2.8Fs, which drew/draws your favour? And why?
- - In your very next shoot, which camera will you be using?
I accept that a large part of these answers will relate to how you work and
the subjects that you shoot, but I wanted to try and form a snap shot of
opinion of the folks in this forum for fun and my own education!
