There are European and US nomenclature systems at play here, used by F&H.

Until 1949, both are identical.  After that, though, things become a bit
different.

Rolleiflex 3.5				Rolleiflex X 
Rolleiflex 3.5A				Rolleiflex MX
Rolleiflex 3.5B				Rolleiflex MX-EVS
Rolleiflex 3.5C				Rolleiflex 3.5E
Rolleiflex 3.5E2			Rolleiflex 3.5E2
Rolleiflex 3.5E3			Rolleiflex 3.5E3
Rolleiflex 3.5F				Rolleiflex 3.5F

In other words, there WAS a "3.5E" but only in the US.
