Off-topic, frozen turkies WAS RE: [Rollei] Rollei SL2000 charger

I thought they were turkeys, not chickens, if it's the story I'm thinking
of.

The US Air Force uses a cannon that shoots turkies to test if a birdstrike
in midair would break a canopy or get sucked into an engine intake, as the
story goes.  Apparently, the RAF decided to implement the same testing;
however, they found that every component they tested failed.

The USAF and the RAF went back and forth on this problem several times,
until a USAF engineer found the problem and sent the Brits a note saying
"Thaw the turkeys first."
