I've been shooting less and less black and white. Why? Because I am in it
for the money, and people who buy photography for commercial use almost
always want color.

This may be changing, though. My agent from Tokyo came over to the USA for
a visit at the end of October and told me her sales are almost entirely
black and white right now. Maybe the declining economy there has caused
corporate buyers to prefer black and white, since it is cheaper to run
black and white ads and print black and white brochures.

As far as art photography goes, I prefer to work in black and white.

The ideal situation would be a very fine grain color neg film because you
could then make the choice of color or black and white when you print it.
