Re: [Rollei] SCA 356 TTL Control

When using the SCA 356, the camera meter is not used at all for determining
flash exposure. If you are using flash as your only source of light, then
it will not matter how the camera is set. However if you are using fill
flash and ambient combined, then the setting on the camera determines the
ambient light exposure and the setting on the SCA 356 determines the flash
exposure. If the flash is set for TTL, then the SCA 356 overrides the ISO
set on the flash.

I use a Metz 45CT-4 flash with my 6006 with the SCA 356 for auto fill flash
outdoors. I set the camera for the actual speed of the film, and I set the
SCA 356 for double that speed if I am using slide film, triple if I am
using print film. This gives me a very nice balance between ambient and
fill outdoors in most lighting conditions.

Detailed information about using the Metz flashed with SCA adapters are
given in the Magic Lantern Guide to the Metz System which Heiner Henninges
and I wrote a couple of years ago. This is the only factory authorized
guide to the system.
