Jeff... in the haydays of the TLR lots of companys made TLR specific
flash brackets and there should be plenty of them in the junque boxes
of used camera stores. They are too cheap to justify advertising...
just ask around.

I'm holding in my hand one with Graflex name on it (they made a TLR too).
It's a 3x3 inch aluminum plate rolled over in front and back to make it
stiffer... ribbed rubber mat glued on top... slot in the center for 1/4"
camera mounting screw. Across the front, a 1" wide aluminum L bracket
is bolted on to the plate and mounted on that is a standard Graflex
bracket as used on all Crowns, etc. The L bracket can be moved to the
left or right side of the TLR, as you wish, by removing the two bolts.
This arrangement is sturdy enough to allow holding the whole rig by the
L bracket... without any risk to the Rolleiflex. A used one shouldn't
go for more than $5.

Rollei made flash mounting brackets which attached to the bayonet mount
on the lens. These are an embarassment to the F&H name and reputation...
IMHO.
