PX625 Batteries

Dear Fellow Digest Readers:
Having just purchased a Rollei Classic 35, I am now suddenly aware
of the unavailibility of the PX 625 battery here in California. I am told
that the new PX 625A (alkaline) battery will work but has a slightly
different voltage output which could perhaps affect the meter on the
Rollei 35. Has anyone experienced this problem? Maybe there is no problem
since the voltage difference may be too slight to consider. I would be
interested in hearing any comments on this issue (especially from the
head guru, Bob).
I must also mention that I really enjoy this digest and the
interchange of ideas it promotes. Even though I do not currently own a
TLR Rollei, I have been an owner in the past and enjoy the many comments
from current owners of those wonderful cameras. I currently own a Rollei
6008 which I use professionally and even though, only time will tell
whether that camera is regarded as highly as the Rollei TRLs as far as
collectability is concerned, I regard it as the best, most versatile
camera I have every owned. It truly follows in every way the tradition
set by the TLRs.
Best regards and keep up your fine work,
          Keith
